You can apply to us through Clearing by giving us a call on 0191 515 3000. Our Clearing helpline team are friendly and knowledgeable and are here to help you at any stage of your Clearing journey. You can also make an application online if you prefer, using our Clearing self-apply form.
Once you’ve made your application and we’ve made you an offer, you can add us as your Clearing choice in UCAS.
There are plenty of opportunities to join us on campus and learn more.
If you need a hand with your application, want to chat about your options, or would like a quick look around, you can drop in to see us at City Campus on Thursday 17 August from 10am-4pm or Friday 18 August from 10am-3pm.
You can also meet us at our Open Day on Saturday 19 August from 10am-3:30pm. Explore our fantastic campus, meet current students and staff, and learn more about your chosen course. If you’re travelling from outside of the North East region, we may even be able to reimburse some of your travel costs!
We understand finding the right place to live is just as important as choosing the right course to study. That’s why we take great pride in being able to offer you high-quality University-managed residences within walking distance of our two campuses.
If you apply to us through Clearing, you’ll be guaranteed accommodation at the point of application. One less thing for you to think about!
See our Accommodation Guarantee Terms and Conditions for full criteria and more information.
We offer a range of generous scholarships and bursaries to financially support you while you study.
Some scholarships are linked to subjects or courses, while others are from philanthropic donors. Through our bursaries we support students from groups underrepresented in higher education, who we identify as being in most financial need.
While some scholarships are automatically awarded, others require you to make an application and meet certain criteria. The deadline to apply for this year’s scholarships and bursaries has been extended to noon on Thursday 31 August 2023 (Please note applications for our Medicine Bursaries closed on Monday 31 July 2023).
